My 20+ history of illness and severe food and environmental allergies was finally traced by an NMD to extremely toxic levels of mercury coming from my amalgam fillings.
I shopped for a bio-dentist here in Arizona to remove them and found it would cost a minimum of $14,000 and probably closer to $23,000 because I had so many large fillings to remove – way beyond what I could afford.
Then my sister found Dr. Carolina in Tijuana, Mexico – close enough for us to drive to her office in a day – and, amazingly, affordable enough for me to consider. When I came to Dr. Carolina, my teeth were gray from all the mercury, but she cleaned them up beautifully. Because of the massive ancient fillings and broken teeth I had, she also gave me zirconia caps and a bridge (all made in America, which I liked) to complete my new healthy mouth. She was just great with all of it!
It has been a year since the work was completed. I’ve had zero problems with the dental work and my health improves daily. I am able to eat more foods and go more places as my allergies diminish. My name is Carla and my husband is Mario. We have been patients of Dr. Carolina’s now for about four years. I am so grateful that we found such a wonderful, caring dentist! Even though we live in Michigan, we consider Dr. Carolina to be our personal dentist.
After reading our story you will see why we think so very highly of Dr. Carolina and why we cannot say enough about her exceptional skills as the best dentist that we have ever had!
After learning that mercury comprises 50% or more of dental amalgams and the harmful affects it can have on you, I decided to have my 13 amalgam fillings replaced. I went to a few biologic dentists in Michigan for consultations and I did not like any of them. They explained their procedures for amalgam removal and they certainly seemed to do a better job of protecting themselves, than of protecting their patients. Because I have autoimmune disorders, and need protection myself, I decided it was time to look elsewhere, so I researched the Internet and found Dr. Carolina.
I was going to be in southern California and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Carolina. After my initial consultation, I knew that I had found the dentist that I wanted to perform my dental work. Her office is much better equipped than the dental offices I visited in Michigan. And much cleaner too! Her entire office is immaculate! And very important to me was that her procedure protects you, the patient, as well as herself. Now that I had met Dr. Carolina, I absolutely knew that I wanted her for my dentist so the next time that I was in southern California, I extended my stay a few days and had the first quadrant of amalgam fillings removed and replaced. Because I had some very large amalgam fillings I needed crowns on some teeth as well. Dr. Carolina gave me shots to numb the area that she would be working on and I didn’t even feel them! I don’t know why all dentists can’t give the anesthetic shots like she does. She did not even use a numbing agent on my gums before the shot. It was unbelievable! Another thing about the anesthetic is that when it wears off, you don’t have that awful pins and needles feeling. I am convinced that the dentists that I have gone to in the US are using different anesthetics and they most certainly are not as good.
I kept telling my husband that I could not believe how painless all of that work was. He expected me to be cranky and have a sore mouth – but that was definitely not the case. A few days later, we returned to Tijuana and I had the permanent crowns installed. What a difference when I looked in the mirror! Now, I could not wait to get the others replaced.
I went back a couple of months later and had another quadrant done. Results were the same. Painless, and fillings and crowns looked great and felt great. Dr. Carolina takes great care in getting your bite perfect after installing the crowns. I would leave her office and tell my husband that I’ve had fillings that changed my bite more than all the work that she would do. I always tell her that she is the best dentist that I have ever gone too! And it is true!!!
I kept encouraging my husband to have his amalgam fillings replaced with Dr. Carolina but not being a fan of visiting any dentists, he kept putting it off. Then he was having a lot of problems with a back tooth that the dentist in Michigan wanted to extract as he was told they couldn’t do anything else to relieve the pain and sensitivity in that tooth. But they didn’t explain to him what they would do to replace that tooth, or the impact that it would have on his teeth shifting if nothing was done.
So at our next visit in the area, Mario had an appointment with Dr. Carolina too. Remarkably, she was able to repair the problem tooth for Mario that had been causing him a great deal of pain and sensitivity for months. She saved his tooth because the pain was becoming more intense and he would have had to resort to having it extracted had he not seen Dr. Carolina. Mario then had her replace 12 amalgam fillings over a few months with the same great experience that I had. Dr. Carolina is so fabulous!
I had dentists in the US warn me about using dentists in Mexico. A couple even tried to scare me by telling me that I didn’t know what kind of dentist I would be getting, said the water and office conditions were questionable. I heard them all. And let me say that this is the absolute best dentist that I have ever had. Her office is so much better equipped and much cleaner than the offices here. Mario and I have never had any issues at all. Her skill level is unsurpassed. Dr. Carolina is an exceptional dentist.

I have been seeing Dr Carolina Lopezlena for over 10 years in this time have had several crowns ,Dr Lopezlena has removed all my old amalgam restorations and replaced with tooth colored composite fillings which not only look better but I don't have that metal taste in my mouth nor do I get headaches like prior to her treatment.
